Great Backyard Bird Count

Simply count birds. For as little as 15 minutes of your time, you can help researchers at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society learn more about our bird populations. It's a free, fun, easy and beneficial activity for bird watchers of all ages.

It's the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) and 2018 marks the 21st year, to be held Friday, February 16, through Monday, February 19.

Our local participation will be Monday, February 19th, starting at 8:00 a.m. at Lake Balboa.  As in the past, we will survey a number of the Village lakes in search of ducks. Of course, we will count all birds. For more details see our Events Calendar for February 19 - Vic Prislipsky, Trip Leader.
